FRATELLI DAMIAN, Partner of INTERNI at FuoriSalone 2026
From April 7 to 13, during Milan Design Week 2026, FRATELLI DAMIAN took part in INTERNI MATERIAE, the exhibition-event conceived by INTERNI, one of the leading cultural initiatives of FuoriSalone 2026 and an international benchmark for the worlds of design and contemporary architecture.
As an INTERNI partner, FRATELLI DAMIAN contributed to the creation of the Press Room together with Status Contract, presenting a table and a desk designed by Dainelli Studio. These pieces embody the company’s ongoing research into the application of 3D metal printing to bespoke furniture and contemporary design.
MATERIAE: A Reflection on the Value of Matter
For its 2026 edition, INTERNI explored the concept of Materiae, a Latin term that embraces multiple meanings: materials, disciplines, subjects and knowledge.
The theme invited visitors to look beyond the physical dimension of matter and explore the relationships it creates between design, culture, technology and sustainability. The exhibition became a space for dialogue between different languages and perspectives, where design, architecture, art, ecology, economics and science converged to imagine new visions for the future.
At the same time, MATERIAE offered an insight into the most innovative production and experimental processes, from advanced materials and digital manufacturing to 3D printing technologies, highlighting how design research can actively contribute to improving quality of life and building more sustainable models for tomorrow.

Matter as a Design Language
For over fifty years, FRATELLI DAMIAN has interpreted metal as a living material, capable of being transformed into surfaces, furnishings and design solutions that combine technical expertise, aesthetic sensitivity and manufacturing culture.
Participation in INTERNI MATERIAE represents a natural evolution of this journey. For the company, matter is not merely a production element but a genuine language through which identities, values and design visions can be expressed.
Each creation emerges from the meeting of tradition and innovation, craftsmanship and technological research, generating projects that connect people, spaces and functions.
Innovation and New Frontiers in Manufacturing
INTERNI MATERIAE also provided the opportunity to present one of FRATELLI DAMIAN’s most recent research paths: the application of 3D metal printing to the world of bespoke furnishings and contemporary design.
This technology opens new design possibilities, enabling the creation of elements characterised by complex geometries, structural lightness and a high degree of customisation, while maintaining the quality and attention to detail that have always distinguished the company’s production.
Metal 3D printing does not replace manufacturing know-how; rather, it enriches it, creating a virtuous dialogue between technological innovation and artisanal expertise. This approach allows the exploration of new expressive forms while responding to the needs of architects, designers and clients seeking increasingly advanced and customised solutions.

A Partnership Looking Towards the Future
Within an international context such as Milan Design Week, this partnership provided an opportunity to showcase the value of contemporary Italian manufacturing and the ability of companies to actively contribute to the debate on the future of living, design and architecture.
For FRATELLI DAMIAN, being an INTERNI partner means sharing a vision that sees matter not as a starting point or an end point, but as a generator of relationships, innovation and beauty.
Because every project begins with matter, but takes shape through the ideas, skills and connections it is able to create.
